This Privacy Policy explains how PintFinder collects, uses, and protects your personal data in compliance with GDPR and other applicable laws.
What Data We Collect and Why
- Account Information: Email address, name, and locality. Stored in Google Firebase Firestore for user authentication and personalisation. Users create an account to save favourites and preferences.
- Location Data: Precise location used to find nearby pubs and provide walking directions. Location is processed on-device and is not stored on our servers. Location is accessed only while the app is in use.
- Favourites & Preferences: Saved pub favourites and user preferences stored in Firebase Firestore, linked to the user's account.
- Subscription Data: Premium subscription status is stored in Firebase Firestore to sync across devices. Payment is processed entirely by Apple via the App Store; we never see or store payment details.
- Advertising Data: For free-tier users, Google AdMob displays banner ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalisation per Google's privacy policy. Premium users see no ads and no ad-related data is collected.
- Firebase Authentication: We use Firebase Authentication (email/password and Google Sign-In) to manage user accounts. Authentication tokens are managed by Firebase.
How We Store Data
All data is stored securely in Firebase/Google Cloud and encrypted in transit. We take appropriate measures to protect your data from unauthorised access.

Data Retention
Account data is retained until the user deletes their account. Upon deletion, all associated data is permanently removed.

- Objection: Object to data processing.

PintFinder is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
